Yep, I know I've been MIA on this blog! I'm excited to say that I'm putting the finishing touches on my new "blogsite." I'm rolling the blog and the site into one! I've hesitated to put any new posts up here because I've already migrated the contents of this blog to the new one. Stay tuned! Excited to know that I may be teaming up with another local photog (and fellow BHS alumni) in the near future after just discovering she's shooting too! :-) Or maybe a swap during this gorgeous spring weather that's starting.
I've also decided that I am going to focus on and specialize in HS senior photography. Of course I will still do everything else, but I have found a love for senior photography that I want to grow and expand. So lots of fun developments on their way for sure!

OK, so coming this evening are some faves of the session I did for Brooke and Michael, dear friends of ours. My husband went to HS with them. The session was mostly of their new baby boy, but big bro also sat in for a few shots. The boys are adorable, and I had a blast. I love that I'm getting to watch them grow up!
Also, my newest session of cutie pie Isaac is next Saturday. Stay tuned for that one coming soon!
Can I tell you how completely refreshed I am, and how pumped I am about shooting again?! Now let's just get rid of all of this snow and start seeing signs of spring!

Just a friendly reminder that all orders being placed for Christmas gifts, etc. need to be in and paid for by December 11th. This gives lead time to get them back for you for Christmas. I am hard at work on my last couple of open sessions, so if you're waiting for a proofing gallery, it'll be up within the next day or two!
As far as sessions for the remainder of the year. . . I realize that the weather has turned cold on us, halting outdoor sessions. I am taking a "family time" break for the holiday season, at least until February. At that point, though it's chilly and maybe snowy, I will schedule outdoor "snow sessions," and I also make housecalls. :-) Keep in mind that your own living space can be the perfect backdrop for true to life family portraits. It's the epitome of lifestyle photography.
Thank you for all of your support in 2009, and Happy Holidays to everyone!

I have a loving husband who is my best friend. I have two darling children who love me unconditionally even on my worst days with them. We have a home, food, clothing, and anything else above those essentials is just a blessing. We have fantastic wonderful dear friends. I have wonderful clients who are putting their trust in me to produce beautiful images of their families. These clients and my family are enabling me to grow my business into (hopefully) a career. My family has been so wonderful throughout this growing process. Since I work full time, all of my photography work is done in the evenings and on weekends (and lunches at work). This takes away from my already limited time with my husband and children, and I know it has been difficult and stressful on all of us in this house. They have been incredibly patient with me and understanding of this passion of mine which I have thrown myself into. My wonderful hubby, my best friend, has stepped up and helped me out and supported me, no matter how hard it is. Mason has stopped trying to plop his butt down on my laptop for the most part. :-) Kaylie has been a willing model and has helped so much with her brother. She's quite grown up for seven. I keep telling them it will all be worth it in the end. I'm not sure they're as sure as I am, but they continue to be my biggest support, my biggest fans. I truly am a lucky woman.
Happy Thanksgiving to you all.
Kelly
